Frankly, it is impossible to confirm unless you have spare working components to test.

1) Set up with just PSU, CPU, motherboard running with integrated graphics. No RAM or any other devices or cables installed.

When turned on, motherboard should give beeps sound to inform no RAM. If no beep, then possible motherboard faulty.

Even if there are beeps, we still cannot confirm that the motherboard is ok.

This is because the motherboard may be faulty in some other aspects.

2) Set up with just PSU, CPU, RAM (just 1 stick), motherboard running with integrated graphics. No any other devices or cables installed.

If it cannot POST, then most probably RAM or motherboard.

The beeps if any will give clue.

You then need to have spare RAM or motherboard to confirm which one is faulty.

(ps. In the above, I am assuming the CPU is ok. I have 2 old PCs with LGA775 DDR2 and 1 new PC with LGA1151 DDR4. The 2 old PCs are 10 years old (or more, I can't remember specifically). I have always built my own PCs since year 2001 and their CPUs never fail despite heavy use but motherboards spoiled and replaced. DO NOT rush to get a replacement motherboard unless you are sure that your PSU, CPU and RAM are all working fine.

unable to hear any sound as i don't have the buzzer on the motherboard.

Manage to get a working ram to test but it does not boot too so it is confirm not ram faulty.

Hi, I have something similar. Mine is not loop booting. Just that I can't reinstall the window and keep crashing with BsoD when installing to 40%.

I have tried replaced, HDD, graphic card. Swop the ram slot(only have 1ram). Changed the battery but did not did the reset on CMOS.

Any tips?

Borrow a PSU and try. If still cannot, Mobo is the culprit. That's my speculation. If you stay near to East, I can help you. As the hardware you using, I have spares to do testing.

Same, could be Mobo or psu issue. If you could take a pic of the bsod and research a bit on the error code/description, you could find narrow down where is the issue

Most probably motherboard since you have tested with different HDD, graphic card and swapped ram slot and changing the battery would have reset the CMOS already.

2 months ago, I encountered a similar problem when reinstalling Windows on 1 of my old PCs.

No problem with POST and it could go into BIOS setting.

However, when trying to install Windows, it always went into BSOD, sometimes very early, sometimes half way and something almost finishing installing Windows. It gave a few different error codes which I googled and found it to be RAM or optical drive problem encountered by some people.

I tested many times with only PSU, CPU and motherboard with onboard graphic card and nothing else. There were beeps indicating no RAM. So it suggested no problem.

Then I also tested many times with just a RAM stick, it could POST and go into BIOS, again suggesting no problem.

However, whenever installing Windows, it always went into BSOD.

I then used working components from another of my PCs to test one by one : PSU, CPU, RAM module and DVD drive (which runs the Windows installation CD) and it was still BSOD at some point during Windows installation.

I also connected the HDD to another system to check it and it indicated no problem with the HDD.

The tests suggested the problem was probably the motherboard.

Replacing the motherboard solved my problem.

You can only confirm if you have working components to test.
