Thinking of getting a new rig. No real budget.

Mostly for 4K/HDR gaming (Probably buying this the ViewSonic XG321UG). Using 9700K/RTX 2080 now. Intend for new rig to last 3+ years

Intel or AMD?
Intel: Less buggy? Runs hot as hell though.
AMD: There's the 7800X3D but apparently AM5 is buggy... Asus and Gigabyte boards are also frying the chips.

Thoughts?

I'm on a 7950X3D running on ASUS board. It runs relatively ok, gaming can take the CPU to 70-75'C under a 360mm AIO.

Boot up probably takes up to 2 minutes from pressing the button until fully loaded in desktop this is with fast booting and Memory Context Restore enabled.

From time to time, I would get microstutters that are quite bad on this setup, I could play Overwatch 2 4k with rendering scale 80% and hit 600fps most of the time. Then sometimes it would hard stutter between 20 fps to 400 fps. Some games like Rust that has a map larger than the 3DVcache is able to hold will see massive stutters, I'm honestly not sure on how futureproof this is. You will get higher average and 1% fps on AMD. But in the rare occassion Intel will be more consistent with fps.

Intel isn't as hot as people make it to be, you can definitely game and have it run 70 degrees on a 360mm AIO. It's only when you fully load all cores with tasks line Cinebench then it'll hit the thermal limit. It is should be less buggier considering its on a mature platform.
The other thing is Thread Director is hardware scheduler, the 7950X3D is fully reliant on Gamebar being updated but I guess this doesn't apply to you if you want the 7800X3D.

If I could go back, I would get a 13900K or KS, Z790 Apex and DDR5 7600 CL36.

If you are almost purely gaming, probably served better with a 7800X3D, much easier to cool.
For motherboard would actually go with ASRock this time since they are the ones making actually good budget boards this cycle.

The latest beta in Diablo 4. I haven't really played anything else even though I got a huge backlog of games.
