PC not able to power up?

Been working fine for 2 years but suddenly not able to power it up

LEDS light up and HDD running then it just turned off and restarts

managed to boot it up once or twice which says that the time is not configured and to either run setup or continue

past that screen when i login, it bsod

any idea whats wrong?

i5 3470 asrock b75m dgs
FSP raider 550

is your cpu fan running? time not configured could be the button battery on motherboard has gone bad. Try unplugging your HD and see if it boots up and stays there.
Could be your mobo issue, cpu too hot, HDD gone or PSU issue..:p

Usually CMOS battery can last longer than 2 years. Since it loses CMOS time setup, it's likely that the battery is dead. Go get CR2032 replacement.

Some motherboard refuses to boot once the backup battery died.

Sounds like the PSU is faulty

Wah, CPU 99.0°C! TS, is your CPU HSF mounted properly?

Your CPU temperature is too high to continue usage. Either the thermal paste dried up or HSF not mounted properly.

Can get mx4@$11.90 from powergamer at vrz. Add 50crnts for postage. Outside selling at least $18..

I don't think TS will wait for the snail post to arrive. He need immediate thermal paste to fix the high CPU temperature asap.

:( that kinda sucks and it'll be pointless if i buy a new processor + mobo bundle since my current processor is working fine

and even if i did buy a new set, i'm not sure what to do with my old processor :s22:
