Hi Pros, need some help. I'm currently looking to build a new pc. Have chosen some parts. Just wanted to be sure they're compatible. Hope to get some pro advice from you guys.
Theses are the parts that I've picked thus far.
Intel core i5-6600
Kingston Hyper X Fury 2666mhz ddr4 (2x4gb)
Msi Nvidia GeForce gtx 970 gaming
Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SSD
Msi z170a gaming pro

My current PC has a Fsp 80+ gold 400w PSU. Can I reuse this for the above specs or would I need a larger PSU?
Also, any recommendations for casing?

Noob here btw, the above specs was chosen by me after reading some reviews.

Thanks!

the gtx 970 needs at least 500w, so yes, you need a larger PSU
if you are not going to go for OC chip 6600k, no need to go for z-series board and since not going for z-series board, no need for such a good ram, get those value ram will do

casing maybe you can look at fractal Define R5 Black or recently a lot of ppl getting the phantek case

A bit off balance.

Purpose of this rig?

You might wanna state your budget instead.

gold psu 550w
http://list.qoo10.sg/item/SEASONIC-SEASONIC-G-SERIES-550W-650W-750W/417596086?selectedOptions=
or extra 50 watts get
bronze psu 600w cheapest so far with self collect
http://www.sgpcmart.com/power-supplies/Xigmatek-Tauro-600W?mfp=manufacturers[63]

difference between bronze and gold psu is the eletricity consumption a bit higher for bronze side psu e.g extra of around 20-40 watts consumption

Thanks!

Purpose is mostly for gaming and multi-tasking web surfing. I tend to open quite a few apps at once so don't want comp to load too long.
Budget probably less than 2k.
Parts chosen mostly from online reviews.

Ok, so far this is what I've came up with after researching and reading comments from here:
Intel core i5-6600
Kingston hyper x fury 2133mhz Ddr4 Ram (2x4gb)
Msi Nvidia GeForce gtx 970 gaming
Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SSD
Msi h170a gaming pro
PSU still deciding, but bro above recommends Seasonic G Series 550W Semi-Modular 80+ Gold Power

Thanks for taking the time bros

If you really have 2k i rather you get a R9 Nano or Fury.

Get a b150m motar, a r9 Fury or Nano. Lastly a Seasonic g series is fine. 600w.

As in 2k is my max but I don't wanna overkill into too gd gpu which I wouldn't fully maximize.

Also, I'd like to ask if aftermarket heatsink is really necessary? I've read online that it isn't really necessary. So am I right to say it's more of a luxury item for my above build? Any thoughts? Looking to get the CM Hyper 212 Evo, cos it's not too ex
