PC wont boot up

Hi Guys,

First of all, my PC's spec is as below:
Processor: i5-4570 3.2GHZ
Memory: 2 x 4gb
HDD: 1tb
SSD: 128GB
GPU: AMD Radeon Tri-X R9 290X
MOBO: H87 Performance Series Fatality Gaming Gear

Would need your advise/help on the problem i'm facing right now.

So when i tried to boot up my pc last night, there is a short beep and then nothing happens

I tried removing my ram, graphic card & hd and cleaned them up but still the same. I did some research online and they say it could be a faulty graphic card. Can someone advise me whether is it true?

If it is a caused by a faulty graphic card, which graphic card should i get (Budget $200-$300).

first of all, check what the beep codes mean. it will help u narrow down the fault.

next, if u are really certain ur gpu is fried, what do u expect from your new gpu? gaming? casual web surfing? video watching?

anyway u can get palit/zotac gtx 1060 3gb @299

Could you explain in detailed how many short or long beeps there are. If you suspect your graphic card has failed, try using the on-board and see if you can boot.

test onboard gpu first.
if it doesn't work don't put the gpu in, and try the ram, 1 each at a time
if still doesn't work most likely your motherboard is spoilt.

seem to indicate a ram problem. try using 1 ram only and see how. it's not a faulty gpu if it's one short beep. check the link i posted earlier...

Yup, I tried removing 1 of my ram and there's no more beep button monitor is still black :/

Normally 1 short beep is a POST success, depends on the brand of board, different motherboard uses different BIOS. It is possible also RAM issue. Could you check if your monitor works with another PC? Try a different cable and make sure your output mode is correctly selected, say DVI or HDMI.
