Phablet seems the way to go now but I'm actually using a smartphone and mini tablet.

Using my Asus memopad 7 for checking my ton of work emails, reading magazines and watching movies. Uncle getting old prefer larger screen :) Samsung S3 for mp3 and phone/messaging.

I'm considering upgrading my gear, actually find S3 still usable so considering getting an ipad mini 2 or should I join the crowd with a phablet and put it all in one.

Goood morning! Am more of a 2 device guy - a phone and a tablet.

Having a phablet isnt a bad thing but it takes a hit on battery life if all things are multi tasked and done at once (music and emails, messaging etc.)

Hmm would like to ask if you require a tablet with 3G / 4G connectivity or would you just be using wifi most lf the time?

Cheers

Good to know I'm not alone. Am using wifi in office/home to reply emails and turn on hotspot when outdoors.

Goood Morning!

If you are intending on getting an ipad,

I would suggest getting a refurbished one instead.

Looks the same externally with new housings, a 1 year warranty at a lower cost.

Used to use my lg g4 with Samsung tab s. But the tablet is quite heavy for prolong holding and on public transport people like to peep at what you're doing. So I'm using my huawei mate 7 as entertainment phone now, g4 as main phone

Sent from iPhone 7 using GAGT
