Phicomm i800

I see Singpost is selling the Phicomm i800 and it's features and specs seems to be better than those from famous brands within the same range. And the price is insane.

Anyone has this phone? The only thing that bugs me is the 2 chinese characters at the top left corner of the phone that lights up (if I'm not wrong). Kinda too cheena, but other than that, it seems awesome.

Thinking of getting this. Any views?

I am interested in that phone too. However there are 2 points which is hindering me.

1) 512mb ram, which is just the bare minimum to run android these days. I don't need 2gb ram as of now but I think 1gb ram is good if you do not want web pages to keep refreshing.

2) Android ICS 4.0, which is a little outdated at this juncture, especially since android kitkat 4.4 is out. Most phones now ship with jellybean, usually either 4.3 or 4.2, or minimum 4.1 for those MIC phones.

However at the price point of $179, I cannot really expect much. Its good for a spare phone though.

Tks! But if I just wanna use the phone to sms and take pics, 512MB isn't a big issue right? I nvr use phone to surf web.

Also, are we able to update the OS to newer versions?

Lastly, do u know if there's this 2 chinese characters at the top-left corner of the phone casing?
