if you are going to taichung, there's ah ming shi (the original one). some ppl say it's good. apparently, taichung's sun biscuit more famous. my friend's sis lives in taipei but she will ask her sis to buy from taichung.

Chiate is kinda too fluffy to hold. So just by a box to try lor.
Stick with pineapple tarts can never go wrong.

coz my friend no tried before, coz i keep saying is good.
so in the end have to buy one for him, then pay at counter
then let him try lol ...

No problem since I had driver. Beside sunnyhills, there also got small 市聚... sell lotsa of healthy stuffs and fruits. The pineapple are so sweet and nice. Passion fruits also taste good. You can do all tasting there.

copy pasta from other thread: had the good fortune to eat and buy both chiate and the shop my wife found, man fu tan/fuji. Had both shops pineapple tart and tai yang bing. Chiate pineapple more sweet but wife preferred Man Fu Tan which usestu feng li which tastes less sweet and more sour. For taiyang bing, i think she stumbled onto a hidden gem though. Chiate taiyang bing is pretty standard but this Man Fu Tan, they have a feng tang taiyang bing, is really dark and sweet if you have a sweet tooth like me. I think they use canadian maple syrup. The taste is really stand out, so if you are looking for something different, can try rather than the standard chiate.
