Anyone has the same issue? My MBP is only 6 months old, and I have noticed the pitting on the surface board where the base of my palm rest. I guess it was caused by hand sweating, is it normal with local temperature and humidity? Is it cleanable?

that may damage screen when you close the lid?

No it won't, at least on my MBP which I've been using for over 4.5 years and the moshi palm guard has been pasted since day one. Up to now still like new.

In fact I noticed Apple already removed the palm rest from rMBP category.

No it won't and I only believe what I've seen over the years of usage. By the way my current rMBP is also using gosh! palm rest with a screen protector and keyboard guard, and so far so good too.

I bought one yesterday, didn't find Moshi anywhere but found a local brand call GoSh!, looks quite OK, feels quite thin too, so installed it. Although it is very thin but still can feel difference especially on the edge of touchpad, other than this, it is matched perfectly, no outline mark on screen when closing the lid, but, why i still feel uncomfortable? psychological effect? i am not sure if i should remove it or not...
