Please help a total noob with building a PC

Hey guys, my laptop fried and I was thinking of getting a desktop for gaming. I don't have ANY experience with these things at all (seriously, all I know about PC parts = monitor, mouse, keyboard, box to put my feet on) but I heard that building your own gets you better specs at a cheaper price compared to a branded one.

I would really appreciate if someone could recommend a build / list of things and a reputable shop to get everything from! I also don't know how to put the parts together so I'd need the shop assistant to help with that / deliver it built. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for better customer service, but ofc I'm trying not to get scammed by any of the shops in SLS which is why I'm here asking!

Budget: ~$1.5k, could stretch to $1.7ish, for everything including peripherals

Usage: I mostly just want to be able to run World of Warcraft on max settings, with Skype / Discord / Browser running at the same time. (I'm currently using a 2012 retina MacBook Pro for that and I can't run WoW on the lowest settings without getting more than 2 fps.)

I'll also be using the desktop for other things like Photoshop, RPG Maker, Skyrim, Divinity, GTA:V, Diablo, etc.

I need wireless connection too as my room doesn't have an ethernet thing.

Any advice / recommendation is greatly appreciated!

Most guys here will go to PC Themes or Tradepac. The latter is more for those who are familiar with IT and prepared to bargain so PC Themes for you.

like that it's best if u head to pcthemes. although i personally think that u should learn how to assemble yourself (so in the future u can troubleshoot), but if u dun want to it's fine.

with that budget it's likely u are looking at 1080p gaming?
also are there space constraints for ur rig?
monitor size?

and finally if u are comfortable with online shopping, there's much savings on lazada/qoo10/amazon.

No size constraints for the build, although i don't really want something that is excessively bulky.

As long as I can run most games at 60fps with close to max settings, that's all I'm really aiming for (I'm not sure if my budget will allow for this though?)

Aiming for one monitor at the moment, and in the future possibly buy a second. Anything around 23-24'' should be more than enough since I can always go bigger in the future if I wanted?

I had to ask my friends what you meant hahah. I really don't know anything so please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

Sorry I forgot to reply this earlier. I feel like since idk anything, it's easier for me to give the shopkeeper a list and get everything from one place instead of shop around and get confused.. I wouldn't know how to assemble it either XD;

If you want to buy the spare parts from Tradepac, you need to prepare a list of things that you want first. Then you show it to the salesperson at Tradepac. Do not go there and dilly-dally around the shop as you MAY be ignored for a long time. Simple guide: Go there. Ask for the listed parts. Check the pricing. Ask for discounts. Pay after checking the parts. Get out. Simple as that.

If you want them to assemble for you on the spot, you can do that for a fee of $20. But you may need to wait if it is on a weekend.

You can wait for MoneyFace to give you some recommendations. I often took his recommendations as they are affordable and reasonable for medium-to-mid-high-range gaming experience.

anyway since u know nuts on building a pc and the parts this is what i comes out with, home it suit your lcyan. beside that i hope u are not heavy user on Photoshop.

ok here is another considerations after i think about it : u can get a better cpu like i7 6700 + GTX 1060 so that u have a better cpu for those games and application u using.
