Processor: 3.00 gigahertz Intel Core i5-2320

If i want to get a new wd 4tb hdd, motherboard, i7 processor and graphics card

uses: programming, play call of duty, overwatch, etc.

What are the recommendations? Thanks!

Actually I think just up GPU and Get an SSD is sufficient

what kind of programming are u doing? multiple VMs? parallel simulations?

if not, i think u can stick to that cpu. one reason i dun think u shld buy a new cpu is because of how old the gen of cpu is. but so far, how is that pc holding up for u?

consider investing in a ssd to speed up pc loading times.

Well, the pc is holding up fine for me, but my hdd spoilt. I dont understand what you meant by i shouldnt buy a new cpu because my gen of cpu is old. Can you explain more please? Thank you!

well things do spoil. u could get a new cpu based on that gen but how long do u think it will be relevant? things like ssd, gpu, hdd can be reused but cpu is based on whatever socket it is on. therefore, i personally don't recommend u to get one.

if u insist, consider getting a second hand one. dun spend too much on it.
also, i realised that mobo is using pcie 2.0.
nothing wrong with that but new gpus now utilise up to 3.0. the performance gain is not exactly large from 2.0 to 3.0 but i am sure u want to be able to tap into that in the future ba.

U could consider going for incremental upgrade, settle GPU and ssd, when cpu/mobo gives up, then make the upgrade for cpu mobo and ram. That would allow u to stay as up to date as possible without spending a bomb
