I'm more concerned with racism cyberbullying than posting of lewd pictures and the addition of "new" debatable-derogatory terms actually.

On the topic of racism, I'm quite annoyed when ppl seem to enjoy using terms like "P&H", "***", "mud", etc to describe (or probably with the intent to insult) Malays and Islam as well.

I understand ppl are unhappy with the ongoing terrorism activities (and some other social issues), but that doesn't give us the right to call em names and such.

We are civilised gentlemen (and ladies) so we should behave as such.

Yes I agree. Not only are there anti-Malay/ Muslim elements, there are also anti-Christians elements as well as seen by the derogatory posts when Christianity is mentioned.

Would also like to suggest mods/admins to be given the right to edit cyberbullying/racist posts into public warnings written in bold red as a means of public education to every forumer alike.

Have seen many other forums doing that so I think that might be a good idea to warn others as well as to cut down on excessive damage (where mods/admins chose to delete entire threads when it isn't necessary at all).

Understand there would be more effort required so maybe can put this up for your consideration :o

Truth be told, whether it is cyber bullying, posting derogatory comments, posting sedition, breaching privacy, defamation etc. - administrators and moderators are not online 24/7 and not even on shift rotations, right?

At least I don't think so lah. Who got so free volunteer for this kind of thing and devote so much time and energy on EDMW.

I believe they all got day jobs or maybe even studying.

But the more important point I think, is that these problematic posts can only be acted on upon members flagging them out, and pressing the report button.

So... if there are many who share some warped views and skewed perspectives, the disease will fester and grow, simply because this particular group of people is rather big in numbers, not including clones of each other.

I believe some moderators only take action when there's more than one user reporting a particular problematic post.

Add the fact that there are many of these problematic posts and with constant bumping by the troublemakers - you'll have a growing number of threads and posts that promote division and friction among users.

The recent practice of mods moving threads to their appropriate sections actually have helped this greatly.

The usual troublemakers can no longer rely and feed on EDMW sheer traffic to fuel their agendas and thus, they are posting less and less.
