Dear all,

as above. I still havent decide on the CPU; 8700/8700K.

Space clearance is 66mm.
Can Noctua NH-L12 sufficient for 8700K?

Thanks in advance

no need k if you don't intend to oc and if you are oc-ing then better not use itx cases with low profile cooler.

edit: perhaps an AIO is better?

Cryorig looks the best, Noctua variants seems to have slightly better temps

this looks cool if you are able to mount it this way

I actually think a low profile cooler will not cut it for the i7 8700 even though its showing as 65W TDP. The TDP cannot be trusted nowadays.

Yeah lor, There r mixed reviews on low profile coolers on 8700 non-k. That's why I m confused.

I try not to use 240mm aio. Cos I considering the Ghost S1 case. Using aio, meanings I have to add a tophat thus increasing the overall height of the case.

So seeking the advice here.

The reality is most low profile coolers don't offer a lot of surface area for cooling. And because they are blowing hot air downwards, good airflow is required to pull the hot air out. Otherwise the temps will keep rising.

I don't think the Cryorig C7 is meant for CPUs like the i7-8700. You will need something beefier, either the Cryorig C1 or Cryorig C7 Cu. The latter seems to be rather hard to find though.

Try newegg if TS can wait. Make sure its sold by newegg themselves, the seller is shown above the pricing.

Just get C7 or stick with Intel stock cooler and call it a day.
