Sorry for barging into the thread but I have this question that I would like to clarify... I read it somewhere before in HWZ that poly laptops have some sort of administration where it is customized and when we need to change some settings in the laptop, we would need the administrative password to change it, meaning that we would not have total control over the laptop that we bought in poly. Is this true?

Thanks in advance! :)

typically they will give you full admin rights on your own laptop, so shouldnt be a problem =)

loaded with sp software n wifi setting

Oh... so I believe it can be removed provided I'm the administrator or given the administrator right.
Was deciding to get it from next week IT show or get someone to buy from poly.
BTW, is the MS office included?

Any reviews for the below 2 laptops? still considering which 1 to get...:o

Asus X550, 2.4kg : $1313 (240GB SSD, 15.6” FHD)

Dell Inspiron 7447, 2.2kg : $1175 (1TB + 8GB SSHD, 14.0” FHD) Seems like slightly more worth it?

Different specs listed above, while they have the same
1) Core™ i7-4710HQ 2.5GHz
2) 4GB NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 850M
3) 8GB Ram
4) 3 years warranty and freebies.

I have the same issue too, can anyone help? a little tough in choosing either since they are so similar. (Gaming is not my priority, but maybe a small little will be done, screen is also not the most important factor since i can use an external monitor.

I will get the one with SSD. Performance when doing tasks in school more important. Why a student needs XXX TB of hard disk space in school is beyond me.
