Portable Laptop Recommendations?

[Swiftyz]

Hey guys,

Looking to get a new lappy to replace my current 5year old ASUS ultrabook.

Light, long battery life, and nice display is what I'm looking for.

My usage will probably include normal surfing, watching videos etc, virtual machines and programming. Maaaybe some photo editing? Since I have a desktop at home already I don't think I'll be gaming on it.

Was actually looking at Macbook Pro but its $$$. Then there's LG gram, but not much reviews around and LG is still quite new in the laptop market. Any other recommendations?

Have you consider on Dell XPS?

Actually I did, but it cost about 3k+-, so its almost as pricey as a macbook pro.

May be it will be good to share your budget so that it will be easier for people to recommend.

Oh right I missed that out, I'm looking at around 2k and less.
