Hey gurus, recently I noticed a drop in my CPU's gfx performance and when i checked the display adapter under system it says intel HD graphics 4600, I'm using a r9 280x. When I tried to update the AMD catalyst driver it says no device detected as well. Could it be maybe some cables are lose or my GPU just went boom? TIA

Right click any where on your desktop screen and select screen resolution. Select advance settings and see whether does it have your GPU.

Next. Check dxdiag whether you can see your GPU.

If all cannot be found, check your GPU, did you ensure that have you connected your power cable. Resit your GPU. Check whether the cables are connected properly.

There is no reason that if your gpu is damaged you are even able to see on your display.

what royfrosty said is true.

why gfx spoil, there wont be display.

and if it runs on onboard gfx, ur cable should be connected to mobo display port instead.

most importantly u must know what u last did, any major things.

Certified is GPU error. Only issue is that I did not send in the warranty card within the stipulated period. I still have the receipt though. Would it be possible for me to RMA still? If any gurus have experience in such similar cases. TIA.
