Hi, hope this is the appropriate thread. As most are aware, healthshield insurance (including MediShield life), plus a host of other plans, offer pre and post hospitalisation expenses up to xxx amount. Besides this xxx amount, the various plans also differ in terms of coverage of up to example 60 days pre hospitalisation and 90 days post hospitalisation from point of discharge.

Question: if your post hospitalisation appointment or medical test or whatever procedure is beyond 90 days, does it mean you are unable to claim, even though this is of no fault of yours (e.g. appointments full, no test slots etc etc)

Anyone with experience on this? Thank you

Yup experience before, even if its just past by 1 day also cannot claim. Most of the time is forgotten about the cut off date of the pre and post.

MediShield Life (generally) covers pre-/post-hospitalization care? What are you referring to?

Which is generally zero days for MediShield Life, right? MediShield Life doesn’t generally cover pre-/post-hospitalization care, right?

For goodness sake, BBCWATCHER, dun play secret games here and waste people's time!

Just tell them they are wrong and what is the correct answer!

Ya anything past 100 days, eg appointments, follow up tests, won’t be able to claim

Many times, non serious follow up to be done in 3 months or 6 months, so if wanna claim, must quickly get everything done within the 100 days provided they have free slots

Not sure whether can pay upfront or not. i.e you pay for a scan upfront even though actual scan is 2-3 months down the road, so as to enable claiming within the 100 day window

My doctor cannot cure me, scheduled a scan past 90 days, it will cost me more than $750. I did my own research, that scan is not going to cure me, it merely helps the doctors dunno see what. Why waste my money? I rather spend the money on tcm for a cure! It cost me less than $150 for a tcm cure!

Is it cure or treat?
