So you use one that increases threats to human life. And can sometimes compromise better protection already inside appliances.

Best power strip always has that essential circuit breaker. If it has protector parts, then one must properly earth a 'whole house' protector so that a power strip does not create human safety issues.

Effective protection means one knows where hundreds of thousands of joules are harmlessly absorbed. Power strips will not discuss it.

Surges are typically 100,000 Hz. That 50/60 Hz number is irrelevant.

Ok by comparison, nowadays phone charger with fast-charging type is normally ard 45W. That is maximum capacity, taking up one slot alr. You put in another slot, lets say laptop charger, maybe another 100W. So left two more slots(a reasonably safe and good power plug usually 4 slots, if more, can become overloading).

So you add desktop gaming rig those overclocking types, can reach roughly how much? Pls enlighten me cos i dont really have access to all these powerful computers

I think main issue here would be overloading which could lead to fire. Dun want to be like those PMD fire cases

Funny its input voltage is 230V/50hz instead of 50/60hz. Although most products in sg can accept 50/60hz.

The reason is the certification. When a product is sold in a certain country, it is rated to follow the electrical code of that country.

There is no reason why a piece of metal cannot accept 60Hz or 110V.

You need to check the extension spec, like my one is rated for 250V 13A = 3250W. Some models may only be rated for 250V 10A = 2500W.

Currently got speaker, monitor, modem, cordless phone, router, PC (500W), fan, Philips Hue Hub. Final empty slot is to plug in iron (2600W) and vacuum (2200W). Never had issue for >5 years.
