Has anyone here brought their own power strips while travelling overseas? Does it work? Especially if the country is using a different voltage (e.g Japan is using 100v).
Cause the power strips that are sold here are mostly rated at 240v, if i plug into 100v socket, will there be any issues? (Assuming that the chargers for my gadgets are all 100-240v compatible)
Cause I have a spare 4-way power strip (no surge protection, only on/off switch with LED for each socket), not sure if i should bring it along when i travel as i never bring before.
Searched online but everywhere seems to give different info. Some say its ok as long as it doesn't have a surge protector built-in, some say use those that are purely sockets only (no LED, no off/on switches) while some say get universal voltage power strips instead.
