A-level Subject Entry Requirements

Science with Practical paper:

If you are registering for a Science subject with a practical paper at A-Level, you must

(a) have sat the subject at A-Level previously, OR

(b) be currently attending or will be attending a course of instruction in Science practical at any institute/school.


When registering for any science subject with a practical component, you will be required to declare at the point of registration (via internet registration system) that the above requirements are fulfilled. If a false declaration is made, your registration for the science subject with practical component is liable to be cancelled without refund of examination fees.


What does this mean? I'm currently in the 2nd year of NS and would like to retake the Science Papers with Practical Paper (Paper 5) because I cannot reuse my JC SPA marks anymore. What does the above means? Does it mean I have to enrol into a Private Institution to be able to take Paper 5? Bcos now I'm in NS, there is no way I'll be able to enrol into a Private school. Pls advice...

No it does not mean you must enrol. Because you have satisfied condition (a)have sat the subject at A-Level previously.

Is it not obvious? They put the "OR" in caps leh.

I took A levels last year and I have thoughts of retaking my A levels next year. But I called MOE and they said that SPA grades are only forwarded for a year. Which means I have to study at a private institute.
