Pre NS Citizenship Enquiry

Hi Guys,

I am a PR due to serve NS this coming July in the Home Team Academy (SPF)
I was wondering if I am still eligible to apply for citizenship after completing my NS? Will my chances of being accepted be affected as compared to serving in the army? Cause I have not come across any stories of PR serving in HTA applying for citizenship.
I apologize for my ignorance.

Some background info about me:
I was born in Singapore and I have attended my Primary, Secondary and Diploma education here. But I am a PR since birth as I have to follow my parents citizenship . I regard myself as a Singaporean son having spent the past 20 years of my life, since birth here in singapore


Appreciate if anyone could enlighten with some information. Thank you beforehand!

Why not? Other things remaining equal, I don’t see why being allocated to SPF rather than SAF, which is not something you can control, will affect your chances in anyway.

Separate question, you are asking if you can apply while serving, and you said you thought must wait till near the end then can apply.

Waiting till near the end still apply while serving right? What talking you.

Just apply when your term is coming to an end. the whole process will take around 9 months or less for the ica to consider your applicaton.
