Hi all

I'm seeking a simple laptop for my kids in Primary school. Which one is best recommended for such level. Conditions are it last at least a few years and does not cost more than $1K.

Currently, I'm eyeing on Lenovo Yoga 300 ($699) or Lenovo Yoga 3 ($1,099) or ASUS UX303LA-R0332H ($1,098).

I'm seeking for a lightweight and relatively reliable laptop that can last 2-3 years before next upgrade.

Any recommendations please?

Thanks!

perhaps you can share the software that your kids will be using.
that will help to determine the model.
and is it something that the kids will bring to school?

hp stream 13 is one cheap one that could be suitable for the first laptop for kids.

agree; depends on what the laptop needs to run

hp stream 11 is small, light, cheap, no moving parts [ cheerful colours also :)]

Buy something light, small, rugged and cheap for primary school kid. U would want something that your kid has no problem carrying (small and light), does not attract criminals and can be replaced cheaply if damaged or lost due to negligence. Little kids can be quite careless with their personal possessions.

And is it mostly used for consumption of information or creation of documents? A tablet may suffice if mostly reading or Web Surfing.
