Hi all,
Need some advice from the gurus here.
I've been playing Blade and Soul on CN server for a while now.
But I am having problems with one of the new quests at the moment.
It is a 24-party quest, and some lags or what is expected.
Since I often freeze or get choppy whenever there are loads of other players on the field with me. (eg. Outside bosses)

But I find that I am unable to play this quest at all, since I keep dying around the 92-94% mark when the game will totally freeze for 5-8 seconds, resulting in me dying due to the poison. And this quest does not allow one to revive with items.

Have already unchecked all possible settings, and set it to lowest setting in game.

Using xunyou super vip game booster btw for game boosting to decrease ping.

My specs are as followed.
cpu: i5-4570 3.2Ghz
gpu: Gigabyte R9 280x 3GB
ram: 16gb
mobo: MSI H87i
monitor: Qnix 2710 (2560x1440p)

Wonder is it due to computer hardware or just simply because I'm playing from overseas?
When the game screen freeze, switching out to Task Manager will show the game client as "Not responding", and then after a while, the game screen will resume again.

Does monitor resolution affects too?

Any advice on how to resolve this issue?
Appreciate any help in advance!!!!

280X and you are using a 1440p resolution?

Reduce down your resolution to 1080p first and see how it goes.

Usually mmorpg dont expect it to work smoothly on a crowded area. It will lag and stutter.

Should help a bit. It should help in reducing the workload of your gpu. But nevertheless its more of a game issues.

nothing much you can do, unless the game publisher release the game in 64bit. That way it wont crash once game memory exceed 3GB.

Don't think the issue is with 64bits.
The rest of the players does not have game freeze problem.
Maybe lag or choppy whenever it is a 24party quest.

For my case, it is game will freeze for a while then resume. So it's frustrating.

Sound like resolution scaling problem.

Don't use the current crimson driver from AMD. Got fan control issue.

I've been using MSI afterburner to monitor the cpu and gpu usage when playing that particular 24-party quest.

Lowering the resolution of the monitor to 1920x1080 or even 1600x900 helps in a sense, the game don't freeze as crazily as before.

But freezes is still a problem though not as frequent.

CPU usage don't hit 100% when freeze, GPU usage is very high though. When game freeze, GPU usage drop to 0% until the game unfreezes.

Game does not crash though.

Any insights to the problem?

And if I am considering to upgrade GPU, what suggestions/recommendations are there? (GPU size should be 12inches and below to fit into my casing.)

Will appreciate any advice!
