I recently purchased a creative ae-9 sound card from Creative web store. However, it's not detecting in Windows. Changing to other PCIe ports doesn't help too.

I did a search online and found out there are other people having similar issues as me.

Anyone bought this card and have issues too?

I submitted a support ticket and nobody bothered to reply me. I really cannot believe that the support is so bad...

Creative sound card some have compatibility issues
as well as sensitive to driver use.
Meaning if use wrong driver it may not work properly.
Is it a branded PC or DIY PC you are using?

- Download the AE-9 Driver from Creative
- Insert the AE-9
- Disconnect internet than install the AE-9 driver

If this doesn't work than most like AE-9 is incompatible with
the motherboard or other possible reasons.

Already tried reinstalling the drivers. I know creative drivers used to be quite bad coming from Sound Blaster Audigy era. I heard they have improved which was why I chose to purchase from them again.

Guess I made the wrong choice. Sigh.

This was the reply given to me:

Also, do take note as the AE-9 does not fall in the category for our 14-days satisfaction guaranteed policy, we are unable to accede your request for refund.

Creative drivers have been bad, Recon series have started to improve
till Z series but the series like X-fi are horrible.

AE series are new I have not touched them primary due to price.
Anyway check that you have connect 1 X 6 pin PCI-E power connector.
( Power supply unit must be 80 PLUS Bronze certified with a minimum of 500 watts power.

output and a 2 x 6 PCIe connector.
If you have connected, it could be compatibility issues.

Can try speak with CASE but if purchase is within 14 days be right something could be done.
