central world/ siam paragon are all closed.

News just reported 5 major shopping malls are closed in bkk.

Yup... got friend there. he took picture and said siam paragon area all closed.

and now 1 death count.

Reporting live at siam. Paragon mall closed. Protests here.

Siam Road the malls all close , Paragon, Square

Siam Sq and Paragon said they will be close tmr as well.

Looking at things. if siam paragon is closed. dont think MBK or place close by is going to be open.

Central World(Big C) dangerous to go as protestors are camping out there (right beside their Police HQ)

even JJ/Chatuchak had protests going pass the area, and very few shoppers went there today based on twitter

Dear friend, it is still safe to shop around platinum shopping mall. But I can't guarantee after 5th December

Erm.. the protest was rather peaceful outside the police hq.. just that you'll need more time to walk through the protest zone to the other side.. MBK is the only major mall that stays open today.. other than that, I reckon there's nth much to do.. hopefully there isn't anymore protest tmr!

Chatuchak was crowded. I was pushed around countless of times
I went chamnuri square for samboon and sala daeung for massage. Did not realise the situation is bad until i got off the train at siam square bts.
Streets were closed and the streets only have a handful of people.

I checked with the hotel staff. They say just avoid chit lom . Pratunam and platinum is fine to go. and they will update me on the situation tomorrow

The travel advisory state to stay indoor from 10pm today to 5am tomorrow.

I am in bkk now also. Pratunam and platinum is very safe and if you dont read the news, you wont even know there is a protest going on.

Siam paragon area, the malls are closed cuz of the protest but dont seem to be a violent protest. I was there as wanted to go siam paragon for bowling then realised was closed. Seems like harmless kind though. I even took some pics at siam paragon bridge area. Those travelling to bkk dont worry la. Exagerated news.

Just avoid those govt buildings lo. Tourist areas like chinatown, pratunam , union mall, chatuchak all safe.

i staying at pratunam area going there 3 more day already! so nervous after watching the news

Just check with hotel about protest areas and ask them if it is safe to go whichever place you are going. Bts is safer as some roads are closed due to protest.
Things are not as bad as it seems. Lot of tourist places are slightly less crowded
I went siam square today and yesterday. The only problem is no night market and malls close early.
i saw people walking around with handbands and scarfs with thailand flag colours.
They are just walking and chatting softly among themselves around siam square.
