Hi, not sure of this should be here or one of the clinics.
I have a 49PUT5801/98 4k tv from philips and recently bought a ps4 pro. On first boot the display resolution was 4k but after updating to the latest firmware both the 2160 display options were greyed out. I dropped philips a message and they said philips tvs need hdr to support 4k on ps4 pro but im not entirely convinced since i had 4k on first boot...

Wondering if anyone has any inisghts?

Maybe try port 1 and 2 of HDMI instead? I did a google and came up with the following info:

Video inputs on HDMI1/2
up to 4K UHD 3840x2160 @60Hz

Video inputs on HDMI3/4
up to 4K UHD 3840x2160 @30Hz

飛利浦58xx系列祗是入門款4K超高清電視,無HDR補光。
查下你用嘅HDMI綫,係唔係1.4版本或2.0版本。如果唔係,你就應該換綫啦!

Hi, thanks for the reply. I tried all 4 ports though. Is 60hz the minimum now for 4k on pro?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Let me check the cables; i used the one that came with the ps4 box though.

Also, I gave sony a call and they said for their TVs hdr is not a must to play 4k...
