Hi,

I just realised that it is so much cheaper to purchase the above second hand from overseas.

May I check if it is compatible to be use locally? i.e. the power cord is connected directly to the macbook instead of the standard three pins plug.

Yes, it's the same. Just check the power capability to ensure it supports 240V.

The output to the MacBook is the same. You'll probably need an adaptor to the MagSafe 2 models if your laptop is a MagSafe 2 model.
