I'm PES A combat fit, wondering if I seek treatment externally at a psychiatrist, do I need to declare?
For example if I am prescribed anti depressants / diagnosed with the condition.
If I am, will I be down PESed/OOT?
And will there be a record where eg. future employers can retrieve it?
TIA

When did you seek treatment? Before or after medical checkup @ MCC? Either which you are liable to inform your unit MO and most likely you will be downgraded, resulting to OOT for sure if you are during your training stage (e.g BMT).

Future employers, they will not be able to retrive unless you are intending to join in the civil service. But nevertheless, regardless of which job you are planning to take, there is a chance that they will ask your PES status during your NS stint.

But, do not because of fear or worry become a factor in your decision to seek treatment. Only seek it when you need.

Right now I'm still in bmt phase, I have not yet seek treatment but I have a history of anxiety and panic attacks. I'm have been feeling very distraught for a while and feel I should seek help (planning to this Friday when I book out)
I don't really want to OOT because I've done completed more than a month of it and don't wanna recourse. I was hoping for a chance to get into command school but with the amount of distress I'm feeling, getting by everyday is quite the living hell.

You mean in govt sect they will know I've had depression before (if I'm really diagnosed with it)? In that case it'll be hard to get a job right?

You said you have a history of anxiety and panic attacks... Did you inform the MO during your pre enlistment medical check out?

You know that knowingly withheld of medical condition is an offence?

What you should be concern now is your own mental health, your own safety and security. Seek treatment if you must. How people look at you is another matter. It's not just your own safety and security that matters now, the safety and security of people around you matters too...

Whether you OOT from BMT or can go to common school or not should not be the primary concern now.

Do note that you just posted in a public forum so there's nothing much you can do to hide it. So please go seek treatment if you must. It's not just for yourself but for the people around you too.

I developed it AFTER my pre enlistment check up. I did inform my PS and PC during the first few days of enlistment.

I will seek treatment ASAP if I deem I need it

By right, the right thing to do is to go for a medical review. But that's on hindsight.

You should update your PS and PC.

Note, it's extremely important that you seek help not just for your own safety and security, but also the safety and security of others.

Especially during live range and grenade.

please go see your MO immediately.

there was a men in my unit which had a panic attack during live range and he turned around to face the waiting area while holding a loaded rifle.

lucky the range safety officer reacted fast enough.

Don't because you are already one month into your BMT that makes you not wanting to declare and get OOT.

Instead, let this time be your interesting life journey! Whether to recourse or not, is another matter.

does it even matter? U would rather avoid the stigma than seek treatment? An accident waiting to happen?
