qns on DSR

ok so my nephew has a 1080P monitor and has this option Dynamic Super Resolution to change to 4k

should he or should he not set it to 4k res?
atm his rig is 5600X 4060ti 8gb~

but funny thing is that one of the game he plays (warthunder) doesnt recognises the 4k res

Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR) is a technology developed by Nvidia that allows users to render games at a higher resolution than their monitor natively supports, and then downscale the image to fit the screen, resulting in sharper and more detailed visuals.

It's not magically change the 1080p to 4K res.
