Quarantine Drive

On a Macbook, (pro or air etc etc)

Is there a way to install an application with a seperate profile, but if that profile get corrupted, malware or virus, it wont affect the other profiles/drive?

Assuming only one hdd

Partition the HDD and use one OS on each.
