Those are prefilled water cooling.

Basically 0 mantenence.

It consist of a heat exchanger aka radiator (those fins that is mounted on the fan mounting holes of the chassis)

2 tubes, 1 in 1 out.

1 pump head just above the copper plating.

Basically it moves water to draw away the heat from the copper plate and direct the water back to the heat exchanger, which is cooled by fans. Once done it will sent out fresh cool water again to the copper plate.

is there a way to check if its drying out?

No way to check. If pump gets very loud during operation, high chance either the pump is failing or liquid is drying up. By then, can go rma if within warranty.

No need refill or do anything. Just fix it up and you are ready to go. No need to be scared.. just got a few wires/connectors only. All these all in ones are quite convenient de. They can last a fair bit of time and most of the time if gt prob, it is most likely a pump issue.

You can buy hardwares in sls. No issues about it. Go for pc themes, tradepac, cybermind, fuwell, cashtronics, infinity, best bargain, bizgram, video pro. They are all fine to buy from. Just make sure you research your products before buying. And shop who is selling the cheapest in sls.

Up to you to decide.
