Usaully got two sides. One side is use home cook with pork bones, sweet corn etc. Then the other side is the funny funny flavuor like tomato or tomyum, use ready made one.

Oh, we usually cooked just one soup base, mummy will buyed herbs and cheekon to boil. But today daddy keeped on saying too much effort, so just buyed those heinz broth

my mum n my tenant chef will boil the soup for steamboat. 味道 is nicer n healthier. Can put in hdl mala soup base too if you want to Jiak mala steamboat

Now there are those chicken broths that boiled for 8 hours and then frozen. Should be good and healthy

We only use homemade porkrib /cabbage/mushroom/pigskin broth. I only tried packet broth at my friend's house. One side packet chicken broth，the other side was packet chicken broth with Tom yam cube. I'm fine with both because I'm not picky about food but my family cannot accept it.

If u use bone broth also need to add salt and msg to 调味 lah. U think bones itself is salty ah

if want save effort use those ready pre pack HDL soup base....not cheap 2 packs for less than $7.

i use it for my steamboat buffet L9..quite good leh..not v salty.

they are in powder form, quite convenient.

if u think too salty then juz put a fraction will do...anyway as more ingredient add along the way, the soup will auto become more salty.

i saw one brand of soup base at Giant costing around $15 but it is not powder form but real soup spices like dry red dates & chinese medicinal herbs...quite convenient juz make it boiled then throw all your steamboat ingredients in can jiak liao...cant remember what brand.
