I helping a friend with Compaq laptop .

i installed Samsung SSD . use Norton Ghost clone from original HDD then do recovery. Its stated it cannot find the recovery partition even tot i clone over.

So if i somehow able to get the Windows Vista OEM CD . Can i use the product key behind the laptop to install from fresh?:s11:

PLEASE at least climb to Mt Seven....

Vista drivers are likely usable on Windows 7, just like my 6.5yo VAIO CR now...

Who gives a sh*t about recovery partition. Just do fresh install and keep image backup better :s13:

what about the product key?

i don't want climb hill version since he buy original come with it

If you can get Vista OEM, you can use the CD key on the back of the laptop.
Try not to download from torrent if not the OS will not be usable.
