recently, everytime i try to scan for virus my PC will hang for no reasons.

i downloaded this SW from sandisk and it's reporting there's some problem on the SMART thing.

is there any way to fix this or my 1 year old SSD is already gone case?

The retired block count of 61 has way surpassed the threshold of 3, seems like you've got some bad nand. Time to RMA your SSD.

bought from amazon last time ley.... jialat lah...sandisk RMA difficult.

Mine also has a retired block count of 42. Hd Tune reported no bad sector though.

Update: As of Sep 15, the retired block count is 52. Have initiated RMA process since it starts to have boot up problem regularly.

Sandick is rubbish, only good marketing. Even their new Extreme Pro 10-year warranty is deceiving, they never even state exactly how much TB is warranted. Everyone compares the Ex Pro with 850 Pro, but when observed closely, it has less competitive rated endurance.

It's endurance "stretched" so that they can stamp "HEY DAWG, WE HAVE 10-YEAR GUARANTEE TOO DUDE!!!" on their marketing jargon

Sandick Extreme Pro = 22GB/day for 10 yrs = ~80TB warranted
Intel 730 480GB = 70GB/day for 5 yrs = 128TB warranted
Intel 730 240GB = 50GB/day for 5 yrs = 91TB warranted
Samsung 850 Pro = 42GB/day for 10 yrs = 150TB warranted
Samsung 850 Evo 500/1TB = 82GB/day for 5 yrs = 150TB warranted
Samsung 850 Evo 120/250GB = 42GB/day for 5 yrs = 75TB warranted

Last check, SanDisk is still on my blacklist. Don't bother about RMA. So I only bought those cheap SanDisk thumbdrives which if spoilt, just throw liao.
