I don't think that Jonsbo cases are frequently used but they do have some great aesthetics to it.

My question is, how do they fare on cooling? Particularly the UMX 3 case?

Can't really find a review on their brand of cases anywhere so was hoping for some answers from people who actually use Jonsbo cases.

Do you think the UMX 3 is suitable for mini-ITX gaming builds? with just 2 places to mount fans in the case?

Well..... can't say for the other models but for the UMX3, the PSU is mounted on top in the front. Rear fan should be intake with top exhaust fan. HDD are bottom mounted so no space for bottom fan intakes... wonder why they filter the bottom plate then? The PSU will be exhausting hot air straight at the CPU area. Doubt this will run cool but if you dig the looks then I guess it's passable.

not that nice. if you are concern about cooling, why not get cooler master cases.

FYI many Cooltek chassis are rebrands of Jonsbo. UMX series is one of those.

Here's a review for UMX2:

UMX2 is bigger supporting up to full atx form factor. Just a thought... for UMX3 it might be ok if we use one of those 120mm AIOs like Corsair H60 or something to cool the CPU. It shifts the main bulk of the cooler away from the PSU exhaust then venting the hot air out from the top.

it's aluminum so materials are solid. psu intake is a concern. sucking hot air in? not sure good for psu or not.

heat seems to be an issue. maybe blower gpu is better or those hybrid type. with a nice glass, seems a good case for custom loop.

i guess one has to bear these factors in mind when getting this case.

cooling is an issue this casing. Get thermaltake core v1 or cm elite 130. better cooling.
