Hello all,
Need some help: What does the 'workload' portion in the listing of modules for any faculty in NUS mean?

For example, DSC2003 Management science
Workload: 2-1-0-4-3

or

DSC2006 Operations Management
Modular Credits: 4
Workload: 3-0-0-4-3

Thanks!

The first number is the numbe of hours of lectures per week.
The second number is the number of hours of tutorial per week.
The third is the number of hours of labortary classes per week.
The forth is the number of hours of assignments per week.
The fifth is the number of hours of self study per week.

ha.. u're in luck. i took both mods b4.

Lecture hours / tutorial / lab / assignment / self-study

I think it requires some correction. For both DSC2003 and DSC2006, lecture hours are 2 hrs/week, tutorial 1hr/week. No lab, and for the assignment and self-study, totally arbitrary and up to individual.

if you're thinking of taking this mods on local exchange or sth, they shld be rather manageable as long as u're a rational person with a reasonable grasp of mathematics and logic. Perhaps some wld think that DSC2006 Operations Management wld be easier.

Have fun~
