Question regarding Ethernet Card..

I'm about the build my desktop, however I was wondering if I require Ethernet card eg. Asus NX1101 Gigabit PCI Ethernet Card

From what I understand my MSI H97 Gaming 3 mobo does not have onboard Wifi card.. So if I want to do wireless printing or wireless xfer to external hard disk, I'll require an Ethernet card right ? It acts as a wireless detector right ? Thanks for answering my query..

If you have a wired connection to the router, you can do printing via wifi from the router to the printer, or stream a video to your cell phone on wifi.

The computer doesn't need to connect wirelessly in order to be part of the network.
