Hi all!

Im currently using the i5-3570CPU with the Asrock H77 Pro/MVP4 and currently looking to upgrade to the R5 1600 with the Asus B350M-A.

When replacing them, are there any setups I need to do? Or is it simply just plugging my old parts in and using it as per normal. Also, what ram speed would be optimal for the R5 and is there anything i need to do in the BIOS.

Thanks! :)

R5 Memory is DDR4, and i5-3570CPU with the Asrock H77 Pro/MVP4 is using ddr3

You need to get DDR4 RAM as well.

I went from i5 to R7 without needing to reinstall, it was surprisingly smooth

went from 2600k to 1600x no need reinstall windows.. just delete all the old driver. Then go device manager and show hidden, delete all the old driver such as your old processor.

Also, r5 doesn't have 3000MHz,

You can just swap out your mobo.

However you need to reactivate your win10 due to hardware changes. As well as all the required drivers

So let say i have an existing pc with i5 chip with A board and I wanna change to i7 with a B board, I just unplug my existing boot drive and connect to the i7 can already? No need dl drivers? I mean after all different mobo should have different drivers right?
