Hello!
I recently enlisted into SAF, and I am PES E.
Long story cut short, I didn't get the pixelised day pack, PES E people are given only the black sling bag.
My vocation is as a security trooper and I just started my vocation training for ST, and there's a crap load of heavy bulky stuff to carry around everyday. So I went down to emart to get one of those bags to use every day.

I notice there are 3 main zippers, the small one in front, and another 2 big ones in the mid and back areas. In the back compartment there are 3 little velcro things, what are they for? Also, all over the bag there are little knobs and holes and ridges and knots and stuff that look like something might be able to have a use there, do they have a specific purpose or are they there for people to find a way to make it convenient for them to keep something?

Just a curious question, I don't have any friends who have enlisted so i can't ask them, and i've never had any contact with the bag

urther subdivided into:

PES E1: Able to participate in simple observance parades and LIFE activities

PES E9: Unfit for any form of physical activity

The Land Deployability Code for PES E is:

L9: Able to bear firearms and protect themselves, others and property. Can be deployed in combat support vocations in Main Support Area, and/or combat service support vocations of Brigade HQ and above

Those posted as ST should be of E1L9
