Don’t think it’s cmi models. They are sufficient for ppl who don’t overclock, why spend so much on a Super high end cooler when some ppl just wanna plug and play. How much u can overclock also largely depends on the silicon lottery
Maybe I used the wrong word. It's cmi for me, but definitely usable for others.
It's really dependant on the user, heavy users would definitely find low end models die earlier. For e.g miners, people rendering video/animation with pc on 24/7. Basically, higher fan failure rates and sometime compounds issue due to dusty and poorly maintained causing the temperature of the card to be operating at a long term stressful level. This is more of a long term issue.
There are also many factors, fan noise db, aesthetics and led. Ultimately, just do your research before u buy.
