Am still running my 4.5 years Samsung N310 netbook on WIN XP.

Will need to get a new laptop at one point.

You won't be missed.

Which nutcase of an operating system puts the Documents folder in the friggin root directory?
Windows always assume people have only 1 C: drive, and squeeze everything into it.

Setup also never let user choose another drive for user profiles and home directories.

Heard from others using Windows XP currently will get pop up message
stating M$ no longer support windows xp and user has to waste one mouse
click (on OK) to close the message :s22:

Yes, that message exist. Some XP machines have to continue living due to the legacy software they are running. Let's hope that the user base shrink and hackers lost interest for XP.

i also running XP still

dual boot on ssd for one machine for playing old dos games

one more machine for climb hill....agreed just run with antivirus plus FW ...should be good...enough

i still like xp

Copies of XP are still being sold in SLS.

I wonder if it still makes sense to buy one and use, especially for older desktops with weak processors and limited memory (1GB / 2GB ram, single core, Celeron CPUs etc.).

Do Windows 7 and 8 perform equally well on such low end systems?

XP is still the best. My PC still running on XP, and I still have a couple of XP copies too.
