RAID Casing

anyone can recommend any reliable and affordable RAID casing. not intending to get any network RAID capability cuz mainly for my own use and i juz need to set up RAID 1 for it. my main concern is for data backup.

so yea if anyone can recommend, kindly recommend me reliable and affordable. if you know the shop as well, don mind state too!

edit: with USB 3.0 support as well.

I think currently there are only Hotway and Vantec selling in the market. I am using the Hotway but the USB 3.0 has some issues with the Eron USB controller. Not sure if it has problems with other USB controllers.

Or try to buy those ready made RAID 1 external harddisk. Else built in to your case with onboard RAID 1

thats pretty sad thing to hear. i bought 2 hard disk alr. currently its in my system running raid 1. but i would like to bring it out to the conventional casing cuz if my mobo were to die, my data is as good as gone. if i use the conventional casing, at least i can copy files to my other pc.

how much you bought the hotway for? and perhaps i might want to take a look online, you might want to send me the model no.

Hotway 2-bay raid usb3 casing around $120. I have 2. Very happy with the performance

2 years ago bought at $125. I think now they can be found for $99.
