i would like to upgrade my ram to 8gb but i don't know how to install it on my laptop, so i was wondering if should i go to sim lim to ask the shop to help me. but recently there is a saga about it and im a bit worried... also i went to challenger the other day and found out that they have a customer service that will help you change hdd and such for a price. so now the question is, can i trust sim lim or should i go to challenger? also which place would be cheaper?

edit: it might sound like i already bought the ram, no i haven although i found this cheap one

ram

Hey, check out youtube on how to change your ram. Just remember to plug your charger in, make sure your powerpoint is OFF, take out the battery, take out the panel on the base of the laptop. Before taking out the ram, touch on something metallic on the laptop (again, make sure the charger is connected and OFF) to discharge any static. Spread the clippers holding on to the ram OUTWARDS (left and right) it will pop out. Insert the ram the opposite way. Rams have only one possible way of going in, very idiot proof.
Other than the static discharge, rams are very hardy. Don't worry, 99.99% nothing will go wrong. It would be a first step towards DIY your comp. Very satisfying. I recently taught my son how to do it.
