What is your pick??
higher clock rate or lower latency
for a ryzen 3600 setup

assuming same price point +/- 5 bux

Benchmark test show proof that 3600 win over 3200 by increasing CPU point in 3DMark Time Spy when it is Ryzen CPU.

Many people look at the first word (blue arrow) but forget that some data transfers span multiple words

Why not both?

The Crucial Ballistix 3600 CL16 sticks are pretty cheap based on experience.

If you have to ask this question, i'd just get whichever is cheaper and turn on xmp and be done with it. Both are basically the same in terms of basic latency though Ryzen like faster ram speeds

(1/(3200/2))*16 = 10ns
(1/(3600/2))*18 = 10ns

If you really want to nitpick, then go for 3600 cl16 with good die and tighten the timings.

i would go for higher speed over latency as u still can manual oc voltage to lower the cas but lower speed means can only run as advertised speed and any speed above it, is base on luck

so 3600 cl18 can be tune to 3600cl16/17 depends on the current voltage headroom and etc, usually 1.5v is the max u can go for ambient room temp oc without any other watercool and etc.

so if the default is running at 1.35/1.4, that means u still have the chance to reach 3600c16 within the 1.5v range, anything after 1.5 is like fingers crossed that it wont bsod and etc

Just get the crucial ballistix 3200mhz sticks? Make sure micron e-die, easily can get 3600mhz cl16.

Crucial ballistix almost all e die, if serial number ending with E, confirm is e die

Edit: dual rank helps performance also, check YouTube videos

3200 c16 because risk of compatibility issues, no point going for 3600 unless its c16.

There was a recent sale on amazon US/SG, a lot of good deals in ram. only need to camp for good deals

Micron E-die for best value(the 3200mhz ones easy to overclock to 3600mhz and beyond)
