Reallocate your budget properly.

Go for a better gpu rather than oc motherboard and unlocked i5. Under 270x performance for your dragon age is not going to perform that excellent.

Anyway whats your budget to begin with?

About 1.5 for the computer excluding monitor.

Trust me, if I could go gpu centric I would. But the person wants an i7 inside. I was totally thinking of a 280x or a 290.

Revised the build slightly.

Asrock h97m pro4
i7-4790k
Gskillz 2x4 1600
Sapphire r9 280x
Samsung Evo 120
Barracuda 1tb
Seasonic m12ii 520
Fractal arc mini r2
Windows 7
Samsung optical

Basically lowered the board, dropped the cpu or for a 4.0 ghz processor, raised the gpu to a 280x (or a 280 depending on budget)

Looks better?

Why won't u need a k chip if u not overclocking :s22:

Because the core clock of the 4790k is 4.0ghz and the 4790 is 3.6ghz.

The question at hand you should ask is not why, but if is the 0.4ghz worth it.

Cant feel the diff. A normal i7 would do.

Change ur hdd to wd blue or purple... No need for barracuda.

4790 it is then. The 30 dollar difference is good enough to change my mind.

Barracuda is just personal preference, difference is like what, $2.50?

Otherwisely, OK overall yeah?

Change ur psu to superflower hx600 or seasonic g550w. M12ii is bronze and those that i mentioned is gold. Pay a bit more nia.

Also, if u can, get 256gb ssd. Lazada gt discounts for ssd, can head over to check it out. Gives better value than 120gb.

Can consider powercolour 280x. Comes with 3 yrs warranty as compared to 2 yrs by sapphire.
