Anyone been to Rayong before?

What is a good hotel suggestion? I've never been there and have no idea where to stay. Is it better to stay onshore or offshore on Koh Samed? Hotels on Koh Samed seems more expensive. But there aren't many choices onshore as well.

Yeah Rayong seems limited nice hotels there... Need to take a speed boat to koh samet, which i find it very troublesome.. haha though read the reviews the beach there is nice
