just realised that the GT7 Pro using USB 2.0. i assumed it was USB 3.2 since last gen GT5 Pro was 3.2, and the few reviews I've seen on bilibili back then didn't mention IIRC. end up go check the website, really is no longer USB 3.2. markup of like 550SGD over CN pricing, even compared to MY pricing of RM3699 it's like 190SGD more. personally feel like no current gen "flagship" phone should be using USB 2.0 already, let alone one with "PRO" in the name... so any phone in this category still using USB 2.0 i completely won't consider at all liao, like Find X8, vivo X200/X200 Pro mini, Honor Magic 7. if it's the cheaper redmi series or iQOO Neo series maybe perhaps still can close 1 eye.

Any reason not to just buy from a chinese set for half the price. Using another chinese realme now and the chinese rom has even less bloat, my basic daily usage so far no issue, just needed to email CS for region unlock code

Also with both camera downgrade from GT5 Pro and wireless charging stripped, iQOO 13 might be another option just under ¥4000 option

Emailed China Realme CS, but mine was Realme 13 Pro+, a model which is also sold here in SG hence i think could get unlock code. So you just sack that realme phone you couldn't unlock?

Yeah k80pro, 14pro+, even 14T using a small 1/2.76" samsung sensor which xiaomi love and isn't very good, even their 14 ultra using a small 1/2.51" sensor

GT7 Pro also downgraded main, so it's camera hardware only on the same level my budget-ish 13pro+. GT5 Pro still looking better, imx890 for telephoto still makes one of the best hardware wise and it's a 2023 release. Even most 2024 upcoming and current (8 Elite, 9400) the most are still using smaller imx882 or worse

Just want share some pictures on the gt 7 pro and some thoughts.

73mm - x3 / 144mm - x6 shot, mine is the cn rom, compared to the gt5 pro i did say the sd 8 elite makes the processing better so the photos look slightly better overall but the gt5 pro has slightly better color or contrast. It also has live photo mode and the rapid shot, i gave up spamming the rapid shot after about 30 times.. i think cn creator on biliblil did about 100 times. Got afew more pics.. can post later if anyone wants to look..

As for the cn rom when setting up the phone it was easy i just clone the phone apps over and work normally. if you do want to do a clean install of google apps then the download apk also works. The only thing i felt like cn and global rom might have differences are like the game center where some text sentences are chinese and the ai app is fully chinese but i tested writing and voice in english it replied in both english as well so it works pretty well, didnt test too much on it and Ai sketch that only global will have? Weight is around a iphone 16 pro max and the case that comes with it black is pretty solid.

Battery wise was really good it came 67% out of the box for me after setting up etc, did a 0 to 100% around 48mins. yesterday i went out around mid afternoon with 79% after i came back around 10 it was around 49% mainly used like yt 1h40m and cam 35mins. Still got about 35% atm.

The new samsung eco plus2 screen is really very bright and clear i dont think i ever seen it went above 40% or me needing to increase it, even during the night outside was at best 40/45% brightness.
When i put in the sim card although the first thing it showed for the phone is region lock, i tested making phone calls to my parents phone on 4g and 5g(Circles Life) both worked perfectly fine, i think it was unlock before the packing process but who knows lol. Fyi using the Mars Orange 16/512gb version got it for 4199 yuan - 100 yuan voucher.

I do feel the SG realme pre order prices on their website seems way too high imo. but regardless hope this help anyone thinking of getting oneplus13/findx8/iq0013/xiaomi15/realme can use this to compare or look around. I dont think much people will use realme phones so there little to compare with.

Nice review. Though if you did see the region lock message when booting up, better be careful as I suspect it's not unlocked. If you reboot 5-10 times thereafter you can't call out anymore. Better check with your seller or try engaging realme CS

the rebooting dont show region lock, it only happens the first time you put in a sim card, but ya i look out for that after a couple of rebooting. i also have another realme phone x10 pro which is the one i brought for my dad also works fine cn set as well.
