Anyone has a good recommendation for a cheap ultrabook?

Needs:
1) Outlook with large pst files
2) Word document with many pages
3) Excel with many records

Yeap that is basically it!

How cheap is cheap?

Also, size preference?

What you need can be accomplished by any modern notebook with 8GB of RAM - provided you don't have anything else heavy running in the background.

Also, are you upgrading from something currently? That will give us an idea of your baseline for improvement.

Weight is the primary factor. If you want something cheap, it won't be light. You can get a decently spec-ed Lenovo A485 with 3 years on-site warranty under 1k, with 8gb ram, Ryzen 7 and 256gb SSD. But only downside is that it is slightly heavier than typical ultrabook, at 1.58kg.

This is not really a recommendation, more like curious...

Will something like the Asus Vivobook S14 z403 work?
Lightweight approx 1.35 kg... 8gb ram, 512 ssd, intel i7 u series... approx $1.5k - $1.6k range..., battery life up to 24 hour claimed...

No idea how good asus laptops are at the moment... so take it for what it's worth..
