Saw the similar topic...but the TS has different priorities... :o

Was wondering if the more expensive sets are the best ones to consider?

- Acer Aspire V Nitro
- ASUS ZenBook UX310 G7P
- ASUS ROG GL553 G7P

Don't particularly need a gaming laptop, but if it can run games well would be a plus. Weight is not an issue.

Looking for a problem-free laptop with good specs? :)

Expensive is not always best.
In the other thread, we discussed the diff between the Asus rog GL553 u are considering and the Asus FX553 and for a $400 increase the only benefits were 8gb extra ram, extra 1TB HD and ROG bloat ware(If u consider that a benefit). The SSD even decreases from 256GB in the FX553 to 128GB in the GL553.

Fx553 for 1.2k ish price point laptop.

However, if you are using it for simple task like powerpoint slide etc, can consider 500ish lightweight portable laptop

How about Microsoft surface? Anyone consider getting that?

Sent from 1000char using GAGT

good for taking notes and lightweight, battery life tiagong very good also.
but not sure if nowadays poly classes have gone digital, at least during my time we still have to buy textbooks (no digital copies available... sadly..)

those not playing games on ur lappy just get a lightweight laptop like surface or anything under 2kg.. go for more powerful CPUs if u're doing design courses
