Recommendation for China Holiday Package

I am thinking to sign up a end year holiday package at the up coming Nata fair. I am going with a family of four including two kids (11 and 6 old year). We are first time to China. Any recommendation on which package to sign up.

year end will be very cold. you sure your 11 and 6 years old can take it?

Aye, go for somewhere in the south of China, where the weather is not as cold. However, the ice festival in Harbin may just do the trick for the children, if you are well-prepared to deal with the cold. Otherwise, winter makes for shorter daylight and long nights, which is not good for sightseeing.

Take care bros....weather in China can be unpredictable. I went with my family once in end October to Beijing. First few days was hot and eventually turns cold. The air quality there isn't very healthy too.

My son which was 5 got fever upon reaching there and hit 40 degree... Luckily the local tour guide was very helpful and arrange to send to their general hospital. And in the hospital there is a seperate section for tourist which the doc there will attend to us on priority. Consultation was very thorough as they did a blood test and result was out in 30 mins. After that they administer med accordingly to the bacteria found in the blood test. After taking the med in a day, my son is well again. I must really praise the China hospital on their efficiency on this.

But bros, dun worry, just make sure u all are well prior to travel and hammer in lots of Vitamin C 2 weeks prior to departure. Enjoy your holiday!!

Look like I will avoid the northern part totally and go to somewhere at the south. Thinking about going to Gulin, heard the scenery there is nice, weather also not too bad. Any comment.

Guilin is pleasant. Leisurely and scenic river cruise. Lunch onboard. Visit Yangshuo. At night there is the Zhang Yimou spectacle you can catch "Liu Sanjie".
Join a local tour, at least.

yes, Guilin is great.
Went there during rainy season, was still able to view the mountain area by boat. Liu Sanjie was a little bit expensive (900 RMB if not wrong) and I didn't understand jacksh!t.
